General fastener torque reference only.

Values vary by material, coating, lubricant, anti-seize, joint condition, and manufacturer procedure.

Always use OEM or service-manual specifications when available.

Do not use this chart for torque-to-yield fasteners, rod bolts, main bolts, head bolts, injector hold-downs, or critical procedures unless manufacturer documentation explicitly allows it.

Condition adjustment rule used for MVP: Lubricated = 15% lower than dry, Anti-seize = 25% lower than dry (estimated only).

Example Values

  • SAE Grade 8 1/2-13 dry: 110 lb-ft
  • Metric Class 10.9 M12 x 1.75 dry: 86 lb-ft
